  • Palatka Generating Station located in Palatka, Florida

    Owner: Seminole Electric Co-operative, Inc. located in Tampa, Fl
    Project Description: Pre-treatment and Wastewater Control Panel Upgrade. Complete controls replacement of the pre-treatment and wastewater treatment plant. New control HMI interfaces and Controllers were installed.
    PTS Scope of Work: Engineering, detailed design, supply, programming, testing, and training for the complete PLC and HMI control system. The existing system consists of Allen-Bradley PLC 2 system communicating with several Remote IO racks. The new system will include a Modicon Quantum control hot standby package, which will communicate via RIO connection to several remote IO racks. The existing hard-wired conventional style control board will be demolished and the new interface will be Citect SCADA software to monitor and control the pretreatment and wastewater system.
  • Tampa Bay Desalination Facility, Tampa, Florida

    General Contractor: Covanta Tampa Construction, Inc.
    Project Description: Construction of a desalinization plant. Installation of potable water pipeline and related facilities for a reverse osmosis desalination facility.
    PTS Scope of Work: Installation of complete and operable instrumentation and controls. This work will be done by the fabrication of all racks, stands and special devices to support the instruments along with the tubing and hydraulics materials needed to install the specified technical instruments that are to be supplied by Covanta and installed and calibrated by PTS. PTS will also assist in the start-up of the reverse osmosis desalinization facility.
  • Water Softener Control Panel

    A&E: American Engineering Services, Inc. located in Tampa, FL
    Project Description: Supply a dual vessel water softener skid with PLC based control system.
    PTS Scope of Work: PLC programming for the control system utilizing Modicon 984 Series hardware and Modsoft programming software.
  • W.E. DUNN Wastewater Reclamation Facility located in Pinellas County, Florida

    Owner/Contractor: Pinellas County located in West Central Florida
    Project Description: System installation and Integration for 10 Royce Analyzer Instruments integrated in a PLC and HMI based control system using radio frequency and RTU technology.
    PTS Scope of Work: Supply and installation of all instrumentation, review and integration of vendor supplied equipment. Supply, design, and start-up of the PLC based control system and RTU interface with main control center located at the admin building. Electrical terminations of all control equipment and the Graphic and Database development at the control center The PLC system utilized a Modicon Momentum and Wonderware HMI software. The RTU I/O hardware was interfaced with MDS radios that transmits the data to the slug pumping building.

    Project Description: System Integration for grass roots 6-pump lift station
    PTS Scope of Work: Supply and installation of all instrumentation, review and integration of vendor supplied equipment. Supply, design, and start-up of the PLC based control system and RTU interface with main control center located at South Cross Bayou Water Treatment Facility. Electrical terminations of all control equipment and the Graphic and Database development at the control center The PLC system utilized a Modicon Quantum PLC with Hot-Standby CPU’s. The RTU consisted of OPTO22 I/O hardware with an MDS radio that transmits the data to the South Cross-Bayou
